Terms of Use

Clear terms for a practical work tool.

Effective 17 September 2026 · These terms apply to Kmlog and Kmlog.au.

1. Using Kmlog

Kmlog provides tools for recording user-started trips, reviewing mileage information and creating supporting records. You are responsible for using the service lawfully, safely and only where you have the right to record the trip information.

2. Driving safety

Set up and start Kmlog before driving. Do not interact with the app while driving where doing so is unsafe or prohibited. Stop and park safely before reviewing or editing trip details.

3. Records and eligibility

Kmlog creates supporting mileage and vehicle records. Optional odometer readings, work purposes, vehicle profiles and reports can help organise evidence, but Kmlog is not ATO approved or certified and does not decide whether a trip is deductible, reimbursable, billable or payable. Tax rules, awards, employment policies, service agreements and evidence requirements may differ. Additional records may be required, and you remain responsible for confirming the requirements that apply to you.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining access to your sign-in method and for activity under your account. Do not attempt to access another person's trip records or bypass account, membership or security controls.

5. Membership and billing

Paid mobile subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. The store presents the final local price, billing period, introductory-offer eligibility and renewal terms before purchase. Manage or cancel a store subscription through the account used for that store.

6. Availability and accuracy

GPS accuracy depends on the device, permissions, surroundings and operating system. Network, map or location interruptions may create route gaps. We work to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that a recorded distance will match every vehicle odometer or third-party system.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse Kmlog, interfere with the service, upload malicious material, reverse engineer protected services, or use the service to unlawfully monitor another person. Do not place unnecessary sensitive participant or client information in trip labels.

8. Your data

You retain responsibility for the trip information you record. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Generated reports may contain location and workplace information; review them before sharing.

9. Changes and termination

We may improve, replace or discontinue features and may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. You can stop using Kmlog and delete your account through the app.
